Some things you just feel the moment you put them on.

I made this piece for the days when your joints remind you they've been working — the feather is hand-engraved, each barb traced one at a time with a tool I've had for thirty years.

Copper has been worn against the skin for thousands of years by people who needed their joints to keep up with their lives, and the ones who come back to me always say the same thing: they stopped noticing what they used to notice in their wrists.

This is one of the last pieces I'll make before I close my workshop for good. I hope it finds the wrist that needs it most.

Pure copper isn't magnetic. Most of the copper jewelry sold online is either plated (a thin copper coating over a cheaper metal like steel or brass) or alloyed with enough iron or nickel to make it feel magnetic — that's the quickest way to spot a fake.

The test is simple:

  1. Grab any fridge magnet
  2. Hold it against your cuff, ring, or necklace
  3. If it sticks — even slightly — it isn't pure copper
  4. If it doesn't stick, you're holding the real thing

Every piece I make is 99.9% pure copper — never plated, never alloyed with cheap metals. Run the test on yours the day it arrives. If it ever fails, I'll refund you immediately.

Pure copper naturally darkens over time — a patina that makes each piece uniquely yours. Prefer the bright look? A quick clean brings it right back.

Cleaning: Rub with half a lemon dipped in salt for 30–60 seconds, rinse, and dry immediately. For heavier tarnish, soak 15–30 minutes in white vinegar with a teaspoon of salt. Daily wear keeps it naturally polished — your skin's oils do the work.

Keep away from: Chlorine, saltwater, perfume, harsh soaps and chemical cleaners. Take it off before swimming, put it back on after.

Green mark on skin? Completely harmless — it's proof your copper is real, not plated. Washes off with soap and water, and usually fades within a few weeks of wear.

Storage: Store in the dry pouch it arrived in, away from humidity. An airtight bag slows tarnishing even more.

4 Reasons Women Have Worn Copper for 3,000 Years

Hammered copper bracelet on wood

A Tradition Older Than Medicine

Egyptian queens, Roman soldiers, Ayurvedic healers — copper has been worn against the skin for over 3,000 years, long before the first pharmacy opened its doors.

Made for Every Day

Light enough to forget, solid enough to feel. June's cuffs are hammered to be worn around the clock — in the shower, in the garden, while you sleep — without ever coming off.

It Becomes Yours

Real copper changes with you. Within weeks it develops a patina unique to your skin — a quiet record of every day you've worn it. No two pieces ever look alike.

About Copper by June

Every piece in this collection starts with the same intention: to be worn by someone who wants to carry something real.

Copper has been pressed against human skin for thousands of years — by Egyptian queens, by Roman soldiers, by every generation of women who came before us. Worn quietly, daily, against the skin. This collection was built on that same obsession: pure copper, made the way it deserves to be made, and watched it bring people back year after year.

What started as a small collection became something we can only describe as a calling. Every detail matters — the weight, the finish, the purity. Because the women who wear these pieces deserve to know exactly what they're putting on their skin.

Every piece in this collection is shaped by hand, one at a time. There are only so many we can make — and once they're gone, they're gone.

My Mother Lived to 96. She Wore Copper Every Single Day.

Never took it off. Not in the shower. Not when she slept. Not even at her wedding.

We called it superstition. She called it tradition.

She grew up wearing copper jewelry every day — the same way her mother did, and her mother before her.

"You stopped wearing copper and started wondering why everything feels harder."

I dismissed it for years. Until I started looking at her — really looking — and realized she had lived differently than every other woman I knew.

She had what I think modern women have lost: a thing she put on every morning that connected her to her mother, her grandmother, and every woman who came before them. A small daily ritual. Three thousand years old. No pills. No schedule. Nothing to remember.

Her copper bracelet is now on my wrist.

Too late to tell her she was right. But not too late for you.

Shaped by Hand,
Not by Machines

Every June cuff starts as a flat ribbon of 99.9% pure copper. It's cut, hammered, and shaped one piece at a time — the same way it's been done for 3,000 years. The hammer marks you see aren't a texture we print on. They're the record of the hands that made yours.

A few pieces a day. No coatings. No shortcuts.
